ACBC attends the 2nd Intra-Regional Forum on Migration in Africa - Lusaka Zambia

ACBC is currently attending the 2nd Intra-Regional Forum on Migration in Africa.
Under the Theme: “Fostering Regional Integration: Facilitating Trade and Human Mobility through Enhanced Border Management.” the Government of Zambia, African Union Commission (AUC) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) hosted a three-day Conference to discuss and make recommendations to pave a way forward to facilitating trade and human mobility.
The overall objective of the Pan African Forum is to contribute to the implementation of the AU African Common Position on Migration and Development; adopted in Banjul, Gambia in 2006. The specific objective of this Pan African Forum to be held in Lusaka to contribute to enhancing capacities of the African governments and Institutions to facilitate intra-regional migration, human mobility and free movement of goods and services through improved integrated border management. The Lusaka meeting will provide a migration cooperation platform to share information, experiences, lessons, good practices and strategies on removing barriers to trade and human mobility in order to boost intra-Africa trade.
This Pan African Forum is a joint initiative of the African Union Commission (AUC), the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) in collaboration with Government of Zambia, the Regional Economic Communities (RECs), AU Member States and relevant partners.

MIDAS Installation and User Training for Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso officials

En ce moment même, les informaticiens des autorités Maliennes, Nigériennes et Burkinabés sont formées à l'installation, la configuration et l'utilisation du système MIDAS, au sein du bureau IOM African Capacity Building Centre - ACBC en Tanzanie.

IT experts from Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger are currently being trained for MIDAS system installation, configuration and use within IOM ACBC office facility in Tanzania.

December 2015 Midas Installation Training.

From 14 to 18 December, 2015, ACBC held a “MIDAS installation training”. Participants included immigration IT officers from: Tanzania, Egypt, Guinea, Mali, Niger, Chad, DRC and Senegal.
MIDAS (Migration Information and Data Analyses System) is IOM’s non-commercial border management information system, available for interested States globally
